F-150 Key vs. Cranking Torsion Bars

I cranked my torsion bars to level my truck.  I have heard that you can install a Ford F-150 key to level out your truck.  Wanted to know what opinions everyone had on which way is the best option for your truck.

Usually, the Ford keys are used to further raise the front end further than the OEM keys allow.  If you get the desired results from just cranking the OEM bars, then there should be no need for the installation of the the Ford keys.  Since the Ford keys are indexed at a different angle, the bolts that push the keys up/down can therefore be adjusted with increased results, while not running out of thread.

Thanks, how much more lift can you receive with the Ford keys instead of the cranking.

I got about 1.75" on the drivers side and 2.5" on the passenger side.  The truck is level and the adjusting bolts have plenty of thread left to adjust if needed.

I just cranked my bars the other day.  Excellent results for 5 minutes of work. The full write up is on my website listed below, as well as pictures.  

 

I have to get the measurements from home and post them but I got just over an inch out of it.  It rides firmer but still completely acceptable.
