will it be a problem to put fog lights that are circle rather than rec

Good afternoon, I need some help I recently just got back to working on my 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 and I wanted to install fog lights. But the problem is I switched out the original bumper for one of a later model so instead of having the rectangle holes it has the circle holes for the fog lights. I know when you install fog lights you need to program them. I guess my question is will there be a problem if I install circle fog lights which aren't for my truck probably from a 03 gmc, will it be compatible?
