2009 Tahoe Heated Seats Not Working

I have a 2009 Tahoe LTZ that factor heated and cooled front seats and factory rear heated bucket seats. One day the all quit working. The lights come on and appear they are working normal, the just don't heat up at all (and the fronts don't cool). I took it to the dealer today and they only check the front seats for heat (I didn't realize the backs didn't work or that the front cooling didn't work at this time). Dealer said the both the seat base and back rest heating elements were burnt out for both driver and passenger side - $1100 to replace. Assuming $2200 to do all four buckets.

That said, I don't feel real confident in their diagnosis - I have been able to find very little on this through searches, but it sounds like there are shorts that occur in the wiring, and that the control modules themselves fail. Seems odd to me that all the elements burnt out at the exact same time, and it seems odd that burnt out heating elements would impact the cooling part of the seat either. Just seems like there there is something else at play here.

Can anyone provide any additional information on this issue? Does the dealer diagnosis seem accurate or should I take it to another dealer for second opinion?

Any thoughts are appreciated

I had the back part of my driver side go out last year. The bottom seat part continued to work and the passenger side completely continued to work as well. It was a short in the heating element. Pull back seat cover, replace element and reattach cover was all under $300 (scratch that I checked and it was $185) from the dealer. If everything quit working at the same time i find it hard to believe that all elements are need replacing. Each seat has 2 separate ones after all. First I would check the fuse, lol. But seriously with your cooling not working too, it could be a wiring harness problem where it enters the fuse panel maybe? Just a guess with everything quitting at the same time.
