Factory Auto Start, thrown code.

Hey there Gm techs,

The last 2 mornings i have tried to start the truck with my remote start, and nothing happened. Went outside, stuck the key in the ignition and fired the truck up. Check Engine light came on. I ran my scanner and got code P1682.

I cleared the code at work on break and tried the auto start again, it worked. This morning did the same thing. it threw the same code.

Truck is a 2008 sierra, 5.3L, CC 4x4. with factory remote start.

Any suggestions.

and any good websites or guys i can get a service manual for this rig??

Thanks

Tim

The remote start will not work if you have a check engine light. As you have already found out. Have you done any recent electrical mods?
