Is there any programing neccessary for power seats? I was just given a set of new take out 2008 Escalade seats and want to put them in my truck. I don't care about the memory option as I do not have door modules anyway. This is going into a 2012 silverado.

I think the power seats are a self contained unit and all you will need is a 12v power supply, especially since you wont be connecting to the memory set unit. Often the power is already there under the seat as part of the stock look so might not even have to run that, Lo0k under your seat and see if you see a carpet flap and lift it up and see. Good luck.

truck may have the wiring but the cadilac plug is unfortunately different but luckelly I have the wireing diagrams. I am happy to hear it does not need programing

What I would do is make sure what kind of power your seat needs (im thinking 12v) and connect a battery to the seat and see if it works independently. make sure you use an inline fuse if you do this for safety,
