Automatic windows

I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was just the switch that makes the drivers side window automatic or is it something else? If its just the switch could i put it on my others?

Are you refering to hitting the button and all four go all the way down? I am sure that has to be just the switch. ???

what i want to do if its just a switch is replace my other three with those switches so that i can hit the buttons and they automaticaly go down.

It's not the switch. I am guessing the control for the auto-down is in the Body Control Module. You could wire in a latching relay to do the same thing, but I'm not sure what you could use to unlatch the relay when it gets to the bottom.

DEI makes a part(530T) that is a window automation module. It will control 2 windows and will roll windows up or down at the touch of a button and you can stop them anywhere in between by tapping window switch a second time. You can also interface with your alarm to roll window up on arming or hook up to a auxilary channel to vent them about 1" by momentarily pressing remote or hold down for 2 seconds will rolls window down copletely. You will need two 530t modules for four windows. Thanx Don

I can get them for $60.00, they are easy to install with if you have the proper wiring schematic for your particular vehicle. Just let me know year make and model and I can supply the info needed along with the window modules. Remember, if you want to control 4 windows you need two modules. Thanx Don

AutoLoc has a similar device, but it's 1 per window. It's the wc1000. I installed 1 and it works great. It has auto-up and auto-down features. As soon as Spring rolls around, I'm installing the other 3.

I have another device that will work for all four windows if all you want it to do is roll them all the way up or down with one touch. Not DEI product but it is only $30 and I have another one for 2 windows only $20. [email protected]
