Advent OGM1 - Zooming and Shuffling

Has anyone figured out a way to zoom on-demand directly from the navigation screen of the OGM1? I know I can change the perspective and zoom level through the setting menu, but that is several clicks deep. I want something like a plus or minus sign on the main nav screen that lets me zoom in and out on demand.

 

Also, I can't figure out a way to shuffle all music from all folders and subfolders on my USB.

 

I have tried every boolean search that I can think of - still no joy.

Tap anywhere on the map screen and you will get the plus and minus sign you're looking for. Zoom in and out as desired.

 

I'm not sure about playing the complete USB drive randomly and it may not be a good idea anyway. The deck gets very slow if there are too many songs in a folder and I imagine the same thing will happen if you played everything on the drive. I find that about 200 songs per folder works well and it allows you to sort the music by genre. Works for me anyway!

I have referenced the 2012 Full Size Truck Navigation Manual and found a couple of things that you can try. According to pg. 43 you can turn the Multifunction Knob in order to zoom in or out while viewing a map screen.

 

As for shuffling music pg. 29 says to Press the USB Menu screen button or press the Multifunction knob while on the USB audio screen to display the USB Music Menu. Select any of the following buttons on the USB Menu: Shuffle: 1. Press to play the tracks randomly rather than in sequence. 2. Select again to stop this function.

The Avent OGM-1 is not even a GM product. How were you even able to find this in a GM Navigation manual?
