Didnt the ss use to be a nicer car over the z28? They can keep the carbon rotors, that is way to expensive for the street.

original z/28 was meant as an entry into the trans am racing series, in the 80's they didn't have ss they had iroc-z and z28. For the fourth gens they had z28 as the top performance line and then SLP came in and gave us the SS through the dealers, which was a step above z28. When GM came back out with the Camaro for the fifth gen, they did the base v-6 and then the SS got the v-8. Then ZL1 came along as the top dog, which everyone though was going to be z28 and then GM went with a track oriented them for the z28. My wish is that they would offer the ls7 as an option with out the z28 package but that's not gonna happen so oh well, lol.
