2008 GMC sierra

Trying to remove top of grille(attached to hood). It has 8 clips. 4 are easy to grab with needle nose pliers. The other 4 are attached inside a hole in the hood. How to I get the inside clips to pop out?

Use a small flat screwdriver to pry apart. They do make a special pliers also.

Screwdriver will work but a friend of mine has those offset type pliars and it is unbelieveable how nice they are
