Who can tell me about

My wife works in a lab at KU Med and just found out they are planning on moving the lab to Vanderbilt University in Nashville.  Now we have to decide which one of us wants to find a new job.  

 

I'd like to know a little bit more about Nashville, seeing as I have never been there.  Tell me all you can.

I deal with a company there daily, and have some co workers that used to live there.. sounds like a great place

lived there and loved it,  theres never a dull moment,  even though the traffic is bad during rush hour,  the people are nice,  you can always find somewheres to go entertaining, or a nice place to eat, and you will run into music stars all the time downtown.

 

the nashville zoo is nice and is growing, the parthenon is one of the best attractions downtown.

 

all the bars, country clubs, and musical acts that frequent the area is another big perk.

 

dell computers has a big manufacturing plant there, and microsoft has a shipping plant as well.

 

technology jobs are always on the rise, and there are computer shows almost every weekend.

 

the nascar track is awesome, and some of the best busch racing around, and they are hoping to expand it for the wc series in the near future.

 

fan fair brings the most visitors to the city each june.

Company sent me there one time to tour the Saturn plant.  I liked what little of it I saw.  People were nice, night life seemed good.  Went to a couple of good blues clubs in an area called printer row.  One of my fellow workers got a job there a few years back and really likes it a lot.
