No Brake Lights - and Traction control/abs alarm

I have an issue with my brake lights not activating

The vehicle is a 2009 GMC Sierra, what happens is that the brake pedal becomes spongy after driving (about 5 mins or so) and throws an ABS and Traction control alarm, at this time the brake lights also stop working. they seem to be related to pressure in the brake line?? I have bled the brakes because of the spongy pedal, but the pedal is very hard when the vehicle isnt running, and the lights work intermitently at that time. There is no "Release style" switch on the brake pedal to activate the lights as there is on older cars, so im not sure what actually triggers the brake lights?

Also the transmission doest release from park unless you really press hard on the brake pedal. It all seems to be related.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

No scanner. And yes I am. I was pulled over for no brake lights and was written a Notice of Order ticket that the vehicle has to be fixed in 2 days, however today was sunday and tomorrow is a holiday so i cant find a shop to fix it in time.

Great Luck eh?
