2011 Tahoe wheels question....

I have a question for you guys. We have a 2011 Tahoe that we bought used. It has the factory 20" wheels that look very similar to the american racing thrust wheels. Does anyone know if these wheels are clear coated or not? I'm suspecting yes, but I don't know for sure. I have some discoloration on them and I'm not sure what to use to get it off. I don't want to just take metal polish to them. Suggestions on getting them shiny again would be appreciated.

My brother has a Tahoe with factory 20s and they don't look clear coated. I'll be interested to hear the answer to this. I'm like you and would suspect that they are clear coated, uncoated polished aluminum requires quite of bit of care in my experience. I'm sure someone on here will know the answer! I think his is a 2012 and the wheels have looked like they needed polished from the day he drove it off the lot, but I've never actually inspected them closely.
