Silverado Whistle

When I got my truck I didn't even hear the whistle because I always had the windows up. It wasn't until a friend was behind me that he pulled up beside me and asked if the truck had a Turbo, and I said no why? Then he told me and I went by a wall with the windows down and heard what he was talking about. I took the truck in to the dealer and they just replaced the exhaust today, whistle is gone.

I test drove my truck this past Thursday after the dealer bypassed the valve. The service advisor rode with me and the noise was still there. They already replaced the exhaust. The noise I am having is this whistle like everyone is talking about at highway speeds and lower speeds. The noise is only the while I have the gas engaged. Let off the pedal and it goes away. Truck is still at dealer. They are lost

Wow, all this time, and this is what it *might* be?! My 2015 LTZ Crew Cab is in the shop right now (for 4 days now) - and after 2 u-joint replacements, the sound still there, they decided that this valve is the issue. Of course, I have to wait 1-2 weeks for the parts to come in - on backorder (hmm, wonder why?).

Mine has been more of like a 'chirp', a second or two after gently reapplying pressure on the gas pedal - which made it 'seem' like a drivetrain related issue.

Hope this solves it!

(maybe time for a Borla upgrade?;)

Yes I have a 2019 High Country 4x4 that is driving up the wall with whistling rattling like sound. Took it to the dealership and they implied that it could be the new arrow dynamics with the new model facial. But coming on this site I see this is not just for the year of my truck. I like to ride quiet sometimes in my truck and outside the traffic noise which is like music to my ears in comparison of that whistling, rattling like noise coming from my truck is not got. I paid 60k for this truck and you shouldn't hear anything. It's like leaving your TV on as you sleep but you can hear that bad faucet leak in you tub or sink. So I'm glad I found this link with other folks with the same problems which I will address. I love my truck but that noise is enough for me go buy a Ford or Ram or even a Toyota.
