1998 K3500 Chevy cylinder #7 is not hitting

Hello....I have a 1998 K3500 Chevy cylinder #7 is not hitting....the compression is good....new cap,rotor,plugs and wires..all injectors 1.31 OHMS..I did a compression test and it tested good. I can't figure out what could be causing this issue for almost a month and appreciate any feedback that may help.

Have you checked ecm and wiring with a noid light to be sure the ecm is firing the injector? Thats about the only thing i can think of you havent said.

good tip. couldnt find noid used test light. all i can figure is clogged injector. thx for response. now i am trying to figure out how to upgrade to newer injection system; without poppets, any ideas?

Not sure on that one. Good luck. Let us know what you do / find. You should be able to remove injectors and check spray pattern.

Well, the upgrade of my injector system was simple. Supposed to change the bracket for the body but I went ahead and used the old one. the most iumportant thing to is clean the injector holes, so the new injectors will snap in. Ill update when Im done reassembling

Ok, ouch!!! Got her all back together this afternoon, cranked it and it gas locked. pulled sparkplugs cranked, shot raw gas straight out sparkplug holes; plz help

Got a leak somewhere in fuel line, can you pressurize the fuel system and check injectors for leaks.

Ok, 8.1, you asked me to keep you informed on my situation, so here it is. The first unit I put in was defective. Also there is no bracket change. I put the rteplacement to the replacemennnnnt in and it is fine now. Ill try 2 keep in touch. Good 2 know i still got some skills

The last one that I had like that it hydraulic a cylinder and it bent a rod (not my vehicle). So what I do now is turn them over a few times without the plugs in just to be on the safe side. You get a little gun shy when you have to redo an engine because of a faulty part.
