Cerwin vega makes very good vehicle subwoofers. Reasonably priced too.

This question is like walking into a room full of people and asking what make of vehicle is the best. You're going to get a million different answers depending on peoples preferences. I personally loved my Kicker subs when I had them in my vehicle.

What is your price range?

Do you want SQ or SPL?

What amp are you going to push it with?

Are you okay with losing some cargo space for a sizable sub enclosure, or is going smaller in your plan?

However, without any of those questions answered I would say, look into Image Dynamics IDMAX 12D4 V.4 or IDQ 12D4 V.4 and Arc Audio Arc Series 12D4 and Black Series 12V2 D2.
