Torque Converter wonders

Recommended Posts

I have modified my 93 GMC a good bit.

14 in. open element w/K&N filter, 1/4 inch injector tower spacer, adjustable FPR, 1.5 inch TBI Spacer, Edelbrock performer TBI intake, modified throttle body, adjustable FPR, MSD blaster OEM coil, 8mm dual path plug wires, FlowTech Shorty headers, FlowTech Terminator muffler, B&M TransPak shift kit... (I think that's all)

Point is...my truck has considerably more power than stock and will already beat a stock 454SS, but I am wondering about a torque converter and cam upgrade.

HERE IT IS: Can I safely swap the cam and slap on a higher stall converter without sacrificing towing ability? And if I take the next big step and swap the heads, will I be shooting myself in the foot by NOT putting in a higher stall converter?
