Volant Air Intake ???

Has anybody used one of the Volant Air intake systems yet ??? I have heard some good things about them...mostly for non-truck applications.

 

Particularly looking for info on the 2500HD application...in 6.0 or 8.1L - has anyone installed one...or even better yet...Dynoed before and after ????

 

Also - If you have one...has the dealership ever given you a hard time if you had to go for some recall or under warranty work ????

I installed the Volant on my '03 1500 HD 6.0, after installing the K&N on my '02 Denali Iwent with the Volant on the 1500.

The K & N was way to loud for my taste but I'm getting into my 40's now and the constant resination (especially when the vehicle was under a load) was getting anoying.

The Volant however gives the performance enhancement I was looking for plus it is much quieter. The install was a bit tricky do to some minor modifications but overall I have been very pleased with the sound and performance.

Next is the stainless exhaust

The Volant for the 8.1L is a first class unit - drops right in and works - will be quieter than the K&N - as to dealers hassle, heck they can argue over changing DRL's
