Congrats to Kenseth and his win.  And to Jack Rousch's dcontinued domination of Las Vegas.

I really wanted to see Jr. pull it off, and how about Ryan Newman.  He was coming pretty dang hard at the end after being down 2 laps.

Of course the best part for me was seeing Jimmie Johnson go from 1st to 3rd in points on the final lap.     That and Jeff Gordon's incident.  But that was bittersweet because Rusty was in that one too.

DEI had all 3 cars in the top 10 and Chevy had 6 of the top 10.   :thumb:

I loved seeing a 2nd groove and cars searching around for a groove that much, way different than the vegas of past.  It's nice to see all of dei do that good away from a plate track, I thought it was funny when waltrip did a few donuts in the grass.  Great run for Park, he really needed that, that and the good busch run will help build up his confidence.

Its amazing the hate you guys have for Jeff Gordon and how it spreads to another guy just because Jeff is part owner.  I love NASCAR, but I dont know how you guys can hate someone so much....I know most, if not all of the Gordon fans I know try to keep themselves "above the low balling, cheap remarks against other drivers".  I personally have respect for every guy out there racing...without them, there would be no racing.  Sure there are guys I would like to see win more, but I never wish anyone to wreck or get suspended as mention above.

anyways...

Congrats to Matt...he had a great race today.  It was also nice to see chevy back up there in numbers for the top 10...just as it should be.

Did anyone catch Waltrips comment about his support of the our President?   :thumb:  :P

I agree with you Z71guy. Usually that is what keeps me from posting in this area. I don't want to be tempted into speaking my mind and offending someone. I am a chevy racing fan, and take the good with the bad.

BTW, I do not like Crybaby Roush and his poor-ass politics against Chevy. I thought it was really funny when they said Matt Yocum asked Jack which of his team members had the best chance of winning today and He said "a chevy will win this week". He was crying before the #### race even started. What a cob!

I couldn't have said it better. Thanks Z71Guy!!

My usual response to the above comments is...  :P

Actually all the Gordon fans I know personally (not through this site) take every opportunity they can to talk smack about my favorite drivers and how much that hate them.

I've always seen that as part of the fun of NASCAR, getting to argue with the fans of othre drivers.  If there's nobody to hate and noby you love then why bother even having a favorite driver at all?

First I AGREE, I can't stand Rousch either.

Second, aren't you contradicting yourself with this dislike for Rousch, and you agreement with Z71GUY and not wanting to offend?

Well, I do have a few favorite drivers...they race for Hendrick Motorsports.     Trust me, after a race I sometimes have a few drivers that I dont care for.... Marlin for example...but I hope he's out there next week so Jimmie can pass his a$$ on the track.  I dont wish he wrecks next race, has car problems or even get disqualified (unless they deserve it, of course)...thats just wrong.  I like to see it settled on the track with bragging rights after the race.  Thats my view of racing....

Elwood said it best.

This is what happens in professional sports. Show your love for your favorites, and show the other guys who your there to root for.

Atleast we'rebeing somewhat civil. If this was Russia, or Scottland, we'd all be starting riots and kicking the Arses (Hey, I'm speaking scottish! )of all the Gordon fans every time he won.

If I have to stop showing my displeasure for Gordon, and others then yall have to stop talking about Rusty Wallace, Jack Roush, Dale Jarrett and some of the other names I hear thrown around negativly.

What's so "whiny" about that? Sounds to me like he's giving the Chevy people a compliment. :P

My Comments about Jack are not empty and therefore they are not the same as someone who doesn't like Gordon or Johnson for some resons I'll never understand. Especially the ones who say he is gay. Duh, the guy probably has had more tang than NASA. People need to realize that if it weren't for him AND Earnhardt, Chevy would not have been much competition in the mid to late 90's. I don't mind debating wether a driver is good or not, but empty comments about somebody not liking a driver are frankly boring and something I'd rather not participate in. So if you don't like a driver, why not keep it to yourself, unless you can give a decent reason? I don't mind staying out of this area of course if that is all it is going to be about. Frankly I think we have more class than that.

I have plenty of reasons for not liking Jeff GOrdon, so therefore the commetns that I make about me not liking him are not empty then, according to what you said.  So I will continue to say it.....

I don't like Jeff Gordon.

I hope he DOES NOT get hurt, but I do like it when he is out of the race, and it wouldn't bother me a bit if he never won again.

Do I know he's a great driver, yes I do.  I do not dispute that, but that doesn't change my feelings.  Yes I know he helped NASCAR and Chevy ALOT.  But he did it in two ways, the people who love him and the people who hate him.  That's the way sports are.

Well, Jimmie Johnson proved why I don't like him yesterday.

It was clear to me, Sterling got loose and incidently in to Johnson, so I say he did NOT do it on purpose.

And Johnson's resolve is to go full speed in the pits, #### near hit everybody,  and look for that SOB! I would've loved to see what would've happened if he found Marlin's car. Prove how much of a "Role Model" he is.

Jeff Gordon does the same thing, remember Richmond 2 or 3 years ago with him and Rusty Wallace? Except he didn't get wrecked that time. I can remember quite a few other occurances.

So, is that "Empty" for ya Jones?

And, BTW, I also hope niether of them get hurt.

SO you are saying that both of you are supporting drivers that have never displayed any behaviors that are similar? Please let me know who they all are, I would like to know. I have been watching NASCAR for a long time, and I don't know of hardly any that haven't made mistakes or that have been over agressive at times. If there were any, they didn't last long. Even Harry Gant, one of the greatest gentlemen of the sport had his moments. Don't even get me started on Rusty Wallace, he doesn't have room to talk about anybodys behavior. Bottom Line is, if you are going to be on top, you have to be aggressive. Jimmie Johnson may have over re-acted, but you drive almost 200 miles an hour for 500 miles and see if you aren't pissed when someone knocks you in the grass and takes you for over $40k. Not to mention the points.

Oh give me a break.  So I guess your man Jr and his dad were perfect role models on the track...whatever.  What about every other driver out there that has shown their temper before...never had much to say then...did you?  This is rediculous and I now know why I dont read or respond much in these Nascar topics...not worth the time to deal with this...

Just as Dale Sr told Gorden years ago...if you have alot of people that hate you...your doing good because your a strong threat to their driver and you must be winning races.  This proves his point.

Oh, from my point of view, there is NO evidence that Marlin got loose...looked to me like he went up for a split second then back down....back on his line.  You CAN NOT rule out that he did not just give him a bump.  I'll go round & round with you about this...
