My 2014 SLT Impressions

Got my SLT Dbl cab, 4WD w/max trailer about 2 weeks ago. Most positive thing so far is the quiet ride, wow, truly an improvement over my '08 as too is the ride. Engine and max trailer are much nicer as well. Only have under 100 miles on it so far, but real nice.

 

The paint quality is bad (mine is black), orange peel surface almost over the entire truck. Inside tail gate paint is very thin in spots, would not take much to scrap off. Frame coating (build 07/14) is good, dealer fixed 2 spots scraped off by the transport truck tie down chains, also gave me a can of the GM no-x rust spray and touch paint.

 

Overall, very happy so far, alot of tech and gadgets on the inside. Much better than the '08 for sure.

I've got the All Terrain, double cab blah blah. I love everything about it but the paint. I recently waxed it and it looks ok from a distance, but here it is up close.

I hear ya, mine is exactly the same. In fact, there was $50+k Denali on the lot, same paint. Oh well, not much I can do.
