In that case, ask for a replacement truck, unless they can guarantee you no more paint flaking issues.

Otherwise honour the base warranty like advertised when sold.

Dont buy into that cr*p you are entitled to a car without paint defects!

Document your visits and attempts to have it repaired corectly.

Same issues here too. 2014 Silverado with 21k on the odo. Just noticed paint flaking from bottom side of both doors just above the rock chip.

I own a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab and am noticing the same issues. I do not have a Z in my VIN number but want this taken care of. I live in Vermont so you can imagine if this starts getting worse with the paint chipping my truck will look like crap. Any advise?

I drive a 2014 silverado, which I got the tail end of 2014. I've had it 2 years 5 months. At 10xxxkm the paint started to peel on the lower side of the box, above the anti chip area. I took it in, they fixed it right away. Now I'm at 63xxxkm, and its starting to peel again, bottom of all four doors. I take it back in, and its just been a non stop run around. The warrenty is 3 years or 60000km, whichever comes first, so they don't want to help, and everyone is just trying to pass me off to the next guy, and not help out.

I show them the service bulletin, which I had my mechanic look up and print. They can't find it in the system. They tell me it must only be an American thing. If all the trucks are built in the same place, what should it matter? I tell them they didn't do a proper job the first time, and the guy tells me that this is a paint chip and not a peel.(everyone else who sees it says its peeling)

I'm usually pretty ontop of keeping my truck clean, and seeing these things, but its hard to notice how your paint is holding up on your truck during the winter when the roads are covered in salt, and you finally notice the problem when spring arrives.

So my question is, does the #PIT5313C service bulletin only apply in the US? Does gm delete the service bulletins after a certain date? Anyone got any ideas? I've been a few times to 2 different dealers, multiple emails, multiple calls to gm service. They sell you the best truck in the world, but when it fails, they want nothing to do with it, so it seems.

Two paint chips about the size of quarters just flaked off on the passenger side of the front windshield of my 2014 silverado. The paint is so thin. I would expect better from chevy. GM you should do a recall on this paint, it is sad to pay that much for a truck and the paint peels so easily.
