Hardwire dashcam - '13 Tahoe

I'm interested in hardwiring a dashcam to turn on when my Tahoe is started and turn off when the Tahoe is off.

Can't locate a switched fuse in the driver side fuse box. Any idea if there is a switched fuse elsewhere in the cabin?

Also heard from someone that I could splice into the brown wire leading from the ignition to the fuse panel. Your opinion about doing this?

Or should I just run a wire to tap into the fuse box in the engine compartment where switched fuses can be found.

I would appreciate your advice. Thank you.

You need a service manual for this ,

Alldata.com $27/yr ,,,,,,,can't best it!!

It's not called switched , it's called ignition feed ,

Schematics will help ya out

Maybe I've been out of the loop too long (12 years), but back in my day we called it "Switched Power"....anyhow, I was also wondering the same thing to power my CB Radio.....not worth $27 to find the answer, so I just manually turn it on/off.
