Why can't OEM do this?

This is what I want in an OEM head unit. Give me good audio quality and some way to mirror my phone's touchscreen. I already know how to operate my phone and it does everything I would want my head unit to do. Leave all the computing power and software in the phone. These guys don't have have the best reputation and may not have it all figured out yet but they seem on the right track. They list the new USB stand alone screen for $299

I've been casually looking into this. I am not able to find anywhere someone replacing the K2's 4.2 or the 8 stock with an after market double din. The Pioneer AppRadio 3 with ARLiberator is just about perfect with android. Has external GPS antenna, just needs mirrorcast and qi charging dock. A place for an actual dock instead of just a cubby with a qi mat, so that the phone doesn't go bouncing everywhere.

I've been saying this for years... Or make it so you can buy the truck and a 50$ kit to put in your favorite tablet or smartphone... amp already built into truck... just uses your phone as the central hub for all things video/audio.... but then they couldnt charge us for XM and DVD and Nav and anything else they charge big bucks for...
