Tires?

The stock Wranglers on the K1500 99 Sierra have 50k on them and plenty of tread but I've had enough.  They are getting bumpier with age so it's time for new rubber.   I checked out tirerack.com and the Michelin LTX M/S  looks good.  All the manufacturers say their tire is quiet and that is important to me. Any recommendations?

That's the same tire I'm running, and so far I'm very pleased.  Good wet and snow traction, and quiet on the highway.  They are pricey, but they appear that they will last a long time.

I have Michelin LTX M/S tires and they are great in any condition. Quiet on the highway. Mine have 30,000 miles on them now and look almost new.

You might also look at the Yokohama's.  I put a set of Geolandars on my '99 and loved them.  Great ride and no noise, plus I saved about $60 per tire by not buying the Michelins.  Check out the reviews on the TireRack for the Yokos.  I had put about 25,000 miles on them when I got ride of the truck, and they still looked new.

I have BFGs and my 2nd choice is Bidgestones REVOS.  The REVOS would be a great all round tire.

Peace,

I have Michelin Cross Terrains, I will definitely fork out the extra bucks next time for a good tire.  Soooo much better than the American General stock crap tires.
