Carshow GM 1210 installation

Greetings all! I received an early Christmas gift of a CS GM1210 for my 2012 Avalanche LT with Bose, rear entertainment, blue tooth and a backup camera. I hooked everything up, but seem to have an extra connector (C3) on the GM1210-6 harness. Anyway, I turned it on for an operational check before buttoning it up and found I had no backup on the monitor. It was still up on the mirror, but not on the CS 1210. I also had limited sources on the rear entertainment. These units are supposed to be plug and play, but I must be missing something. The removed radio only had two plugs and my harness had three. I searched all over inside the dash for an extra plug, but found none.

 

Also, I was wondering just how and where does one connect the pink wire to disable the video unless in park. The instructions say to connect to the parking brake, but I see no connector there anywhere.

 

Any help would be appreciated much.

Have you read through this thread? I know this has to do with the Advent head unit but it does show which wires are which for the camera.

Thanks for the thread link. I can find the yellow plug, but I'll be damned if I can lay my fingers on the area depicted in the picture.

 

 

PS: I took Walt's advice he gave to someone earlier and tapped in at the mirror. Piece of cake and all is well.
