2003 GMC Sonoma P0302

I have a 2003 GMC sonoma with a LU3 v6 4.3l engine and a p0302 code that occurs randomly under 2000 rpm and nearly constantly above 2000 rpm. I have replaced the distributer cap and plugs and wires. A fuel pump was installed not long ago with a new filter as well, and I recently had to replace the crank position sensor due to the problem with it acting up above 2500 rpm that seems to be come on high-mileage versions of this truck.

 

At this point I am fairly sure its the injectors however I would like to know should I replace all 6 injectors at the same time and ignore the fuel meter body (spider) at $100 a piece or should I get one of the SCPI to MFI conversion kits for older models for $250 that includes all the injectors. Also would the conversion kit work in my truck or would I just be wasting money

Code p0302 indicates a misfire on cylinder # 2 according to this website http://repairpal.com/OBD-II-Code-P0302, so you may want to check your spark plugs and replace this if you have never did so. It would be cheaper if you replaced the whole fuel spider with an upgraded one. I recently did the CSFI to MPFI conversion and there wasn't much difference besides it made my truck idle much smoother. In the long run an upgrade would be best especially if you plan on keeping the truck for a long time. This picture below is the new fuel injector spider I put in just last month. its a beauty.

As I said I have already did plugs wires and coil and that didn't affect anything. I have a 2003 with the LU3 engine so it already has the MFI system just as you posted it there however I was unsure if the SCPI to MFI conversion kit would work on the LU3 engine
