Under seat storage & sub woofer

I bought a Pro Box sub enclosure (www.proboxrocks.com) a month or two ago and only got the single 10" because I didn't want to give up the storage room on both sides. There has been a lot of posts about underseat storage on this forum lately, so I thought I would write Pro Box an e-mail and see if they could come up with something. I suggested using their (2) 10" or 12" box and only putting one sub in it (either side, doesn't really matter), then putting a lid with hinge on the other side for storage. Here's the response they sent me:

Since our boxes are cut out by a numerically controlled computer router and not by hand, our programs are already set to cut each particular box as we have them now. We would have to make a whole new program for what you are talking about which would entail many hours of programming. Thus we would have to justify spending that much time on a new program by selling at least 100 of these units. At this time we have never had such a request form any of our dealers for such a unit. We appreciate your in-put though.

I'm not trying to get 100 people to buy one of these things or anything, just suggesting that if you are interested in somthing like this, you should send them an e-mail. I was pretty impressed with the quality of their work and think they could sell them if it was an option for people.

What do you think?? Am I the only one that would buy it??

As long as each sub has a separate chamber, that is a great idea. However I don't know how many people would really want that... two subs is so much better than one. Unless you get something like a 1000-watt 12" sub and a nice amp to push it.

I put a single 10 -with amp- in my buddy's otherwise stock truck.

It is plenty for most people, as most don't feel the need for a lot of boom.

Ditto..I have the single 10 probox and have ample bass. I don't need to wake the neighbors, just smooth clean bass. The box storage idea is a good one though.

Same. I have the single 10" and it's about all I need. And it leaves the other side open for storage, etc. Don't think I would bother buying a double sub box only to use half as a storage container but hey, if ya wanna spend the $$$, why not?
