Lund side steps

Recommended Posts

I got my Lund side steps delivered today and got right to installing them. I went with the chrome 6". I'm not a big fan of Chrome anything on a car with the salty New England roads. Initially I was thinking I'd go all black, but after some thinking I decided to go chrome. My first reason was the black would probably get beat up quicker, and second I figured the chrome steps would compliment the chrome door trim on my LTZ.

I liked the look of the factory rectangular ones, but certainly wasn't paying $750 for them. I can across the Lund which look the same (i heard they actually manufacture the GM steps and GM just puts their name on it.) Either way Lund is a reputable so I figured I'd give it a shot.

So I found them on Amazon for $350, then looked a little closer and found them for $255 on amazon warehouse! Brand new with a damaged box. No damage to any of the parts at all, and free shipping with my amazon prime. I'll chalk that up to a good deal! Now, on to the pics....

Thanks. Now I'm trying to decide between mud guards. I want something clean looking and subtle, but that actually provides protection for the paint and steps. I like the look of the Husky guards.
