New Guy with Questions!

Hey Everyone-

Name is Chris and I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado z71. It is my first truck purchase and I enjoy it WAY more than my previous Ram... very satisfied! For all you married folks out there, I had my dreams come true the other day when my wife told me while we were walking to the truck "We need to get this thing lifted"- at which point my jaw dropped to the floor.

My question is this- never ventured into the lift kit world but wondering where to start? I would like to get a leveling kit/ tires but don't no really where to start. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully I will get some before/after pics up. Thanks!

Leveling kits aren't hard to install if you have some basic tools. I have a 2015 Silverado, took me about 2 hours to install 2" level Im running 285/70/17 tires on 17x9 rims with +12 offset without any rubbing.The tire only stick out slightly past fenders definitely wish I would have done a little more offset. If you're looking to just level I'd suggest rough country hasn't given me any issues.

Congratulations, cnet! But wait - you said first truck purchase, but had a Ram? Wha'? Somebody gave ye the Ram? I think you have a new truck, but not certain. You know why?

Thanks everyone- that 2015 looks real nice.

 

Believe it or not, the Ram was won at a baseball game awhile back- my parents handed it down to me when I turned 16. Lucky is an understatement! But I have since wised up to my new Chevy.

 

I'll be sure to post later, just have a box on the back now. Don't think the boss would like me venturing out to take pics of my truck in the middle of the day!
