Quiting Smoking

I will have to retire the camel, he is too much of a reminder. But, dont he look happy holding that? Cutting down today, maybe by end of week down to 2 or so, then Im done with these cancer sticks. Man, this sucks. For you young uns, dont ever pick this mess up, you will regret it!!

I quit a little over 5 weeks ago myself.

I just got in to the mindet that I didn't need them and walked away from it.It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

I was a heavy smoker for about 40 years.

Tried many times to "ease off", but never could pull it off, so quit cold about 6 years ago. I used the Nicorette gum as a crutch for about a month, and it worked great.

Shoot, I am likely to go crazy and do somehting I will regret if I quit before college is out. Besides I never have been able to find the same discussions else where than out back of the dorm smoking with fellow smokers, many I don't know there name, and BSing for half an hour. And boy do I love pissing off the people that come by and say, "You know that stuff is bad for you, and can kill you right?" I am like yeah, but so is walking across the street! Then when they are about 30 feet away, I start coughing just to see if they turn around ... Man, isn't the little things so amusing?
