Ok so my lower ball joint on the passenger side broke this morning. Luckily it did it at work in the parking lot and not on the highway. I've got access to a decent variety of hand tools and a drill. My problem is the rivets. I need some advice on the down and dirty way of getting the **** thing to break off with what little I have available so I can get this thing to were I can drive it tomorrow. Its giving me fits

Grind the heads off the rivets, and use a hammer and punch to drive them out.

An air chisel makes this process a billion times faster - use the wide blade to chisel the head right off, then use the pointy bit to drive the rivet out. Takes just a few minutes with that tool, even up here.

Broke down and bought an air chisel last night. I didn't finish so it's just chillin at the fire station where it broke. The crew working today just text me that they've almost got it fixed. Pretty **** nice of them if I do say so myself
