2014 shifter not moving out of park

Occasionally after starting the truck and getting ready to move, the shifter lever will stop at reverse and not move. Moving the tilt well seems to allow the shifter to work normally. Had anyone else seen this issue?

This is new one to me. Have you tried turning the steering wheel back and forth? Sounds like a warranty issue.

Sounds like you may be trying to use the wheel in a position that isn't locked in. Or the wheel lock itself is not functioning correctly thus you are limited in what gears you can select.

Thx. I am going to start keeping a log and the remedy. It doesn't happen often enough yet to waste a trip to the dealer to get cannot find anything wrong.

You show them what's wrong , ya don't just hope for the best while sitting on your but in the lounge !!!!!!

 

Always show someone and make sure THAT guys name is ON THE WORK ORDER so the tech can go to him /her
