Today i got home to a pretty bad sound coming from my truck. Its a bad whine coming from somewhere in the middle of my 5.3, i had the water pump replaced about 3 months ago and my truck runs at the same temp no matter what. What would cause this noise? Idler pully? Tensioner? Thanks in advance.

Power steering pumps can whine if the fluid level is low.
