LED Bulb Replacement, Vehicle Won't Start???

2008 Chevrolet Suburban LED bulb replacement question? Yesterday I decided to replace the factory brake/turn signal & backup bulbs with LED replacements. After changing the bulbs I tried to start my vehicle and it acted like the battery was completely dead. I barely got a clicking noise when turning the key. I tried jumping the battery but it didn't help. Because all I did was change the bulbs with LED replacements, I changed every bulb back to the original bulb. Now I was able to start the car but I had to reset the date and time on my radio. It was as though I completely disconnected the battery in the car. Was this some type of "safety" device or relay that tripped to protect the electrical system? I would greatly appreciate an answer. I have worked on my own vehicles in the past but up until I purchased the 2008 Suburban (used), my newest vehicle was a 1994 Chevy P/U. Thanks in advance!

NOTE: I gave it a second try and only replaced the backup bulbs with LED bulbs and had the same problem. Changed the bulbs back to the originals and now I can start the car again. Had to reset the radio again!
