McCord Cutout for 6.0, 8.1, and D-Max

There is a member of the MFBA who maked the McCord electric cutout.  It is a similar item to the QTEC in it's functionality.

 

After speaking with Keith, he said that if he could get 25 people to do them, he'd do the toolup for them.

 

Now, I'm pretty sure the piping setup and diameter of our piping is all the same between 6.0, 8.1, and D-Max's.  It's only the length involved due to cab and bed configurations.

 

Since I have a true dual setup, I'm in for two.  I'd do them after the cats and before the mufflers.  Under normal driving it is closed and is funneled through your exhaust.  From there you can either elect to have a switch you hit to open it up, or I myself may wire it up with the gas pedal where at a certain point, it pops it open.

 

Who all would be interested in something like this?

I believe he came out with his product before the Qtec (if memory serves).

I believe so.  There was a thread over on our board about it and then it was brought up about who came up with a better mousetrap and what not first.  

 

Being as though I know Keith from the board, I'd rather give him my business than someone I don't know.

We didn't get to that point.  I simply asked him if he had something in his stock available for our size diameter piping and that I wanted two of them.  He said he did not and that if I could get 25 people up and interested (well, 12.5 people really ), we'd discuss it further.
