Larger Gas Tank?

Has anyone replaced their factory gas tank with a larger one? Such as flow master's (i believe) 45 gallon tank? I currently have the D/A extended cab 26 gallon tank which just isn't sufficent for long hauls. If anyone has replaced the factory tank let us know how difficult it was and any "gotchas" that we need to look out for.

I think you mean Transferflow...

The only person I've heard who did it complained that the tank sat too low, and in one spot was actually below the frame rail. If that's the case then I wouldn't consider it -- this truck sits too low as it is, image if the first thing you hit is the gas tank. Not good.

Flowmaster does make in-the-bed auzillary tanks as big or small as you want, even for gas engines. I suspect most people, though, would not want to go this route.
