mine sounds awesome when i am in town...90% of the time...

it's just when i head to my deer lease and it is constantly losing the HD signal...in and out...in and out...

that part is kinda annoying.

long road trips like that i usually have spotify or my sd card full of music on

I have this issue. I can't get radio reception anywhere. I've done the "update HD channels" but I don't know if that does anything. It's constantly switching between regular (which SUCKS and I can't hear anything but static) and it always says that it's trying to switch to HD. Then goes to HD and then swaps back to regular. It's quite annoying. I have to switch to my media and play off my phone or something.

You can turn off HD radio in the settings, it will keep the radio from switching back and forth.

I've done that. The standard radio reception is terrible. I go into my wife's 4Runner and put it on the same station and it sounds great. She doesn't have anything special. Just regular radio. On top of that, when I turn HD radio off so it doesn't switch, it resets when I restart the truck. So if have to keep turning it off multiple times a day.

Also purchased a 2014 GMC Sierra with 28,000 miles. Great look truck, lousy Radio RECEPTION...
