Rough country/skyjacker 2.5" lift

I want to get a little bit of lift out of my 97 4x4 GMC x-cab Z71. I don't to do a body lift because I think enough of the frame shows on the truck already,  and I don't want anymore.

 

I have seen the Rough Country and a similar lift from Skyjacker that nets about 2.5" to 3" of lift. Looks pretty simple to put on and seems to be an overall simple lift. Does anyone have this lift? Is it worth the $500?

 

I am going for pure looks here. I have a tube buggy for my 4x4 purposes so the only dirt my 97 sees is when I take my dogs to the lake.

Add had the Skyjacker kit about 4 years ago.  Very basic simple install.  Just had to cut part of the diff bracket off. Not sure what the kit comes with now, but when I nought it the rear was add-a-leaves, front was new upper control arms and 3 brackets.  Had to buy my own shocks.  I also ran a body lift with 35x12x15 tires on 15x8 rims.  never rubbed.

 

At the time it cost me just under $225.00 for the kit, not sure what it is know.  I liked it, I think you would as well.  Good luck

You wouldn't happen to have a pic of that set up would ya? Just curious what the 35"s/Body lift and small Suspension lift looked like.
