The "HD" looks good on the tailgate!!!  :thumb:

What year is the Yamaha?  Is it a FZR?  And how much riding do you get in Alaska?

Thanks!!

Yep the ole' FZR....96

You'd be surprised, I live in Juneau, pretty much a rain forest so the temps are cool but steady...average is like 38 degrees. I ride probably 9 out of the 12 months try to ride at least one day every month....Me and Infared have FZR's, we buddy up and ride all the time......we also have jetski's and ride year round (when his BOMB is running...HA..sorry had to get that jab in!) It's great fun here...wish we had about 100 more miles road and all of it was twisty!

I know what you mean about the twisties!!!  I have a '93 Yamaha GTS1000 (swingarm front end and no forks), and I have to ride about 4 hours South to get into the twisties of WV.  I spend most of my "fun" time in WV, VA, NC and North East GA.

If we only had more road then 60 miles.....Pretty sad I have to get my fun on the deaccleration lanes on the highway....best sweepers in the borough (we don't have counties?)

I always hoped that GM would do something like that to show the difference between the HD's and non HD's on the back of the truck, looks awesome :thumb:

What did you use to cut this emblem? And what did you use to stick it on? Were you able to get a nice clean cut on the emblem? I was fixing to do this to mine as soon as I get an emblem.

Could you get me a closer up pic of it?

Thanks

Thanks Guys

I search under: silverado HD, 2500HD, silverado heavy duty, duramax diesel, under each one you will find some stuff the same but alot of diffirent stuff all for your truck.

I had two of them the first one I kinda mucked up a bit.....I cut it staight and it needed to be at an angle.  When I cut the second one I cut it right at the last "0" and trimed it from there. I used a pair of aluminum snips on the first one but changed to a pair of (shhhh) my wifes really nice scissors (they worked the best). The cut was really clean and sharp, the trick is to give it a beveled edge cutting from the back to the front at an angle (hard to explaine) but the peice laps over the silverado badge.  I used gray molding double sticky tape (think I bought it at Fred Meyer in the auto section, I bought it to put on my window guards FYI).

I will try and get a closer pic at lunch..
