I'mkinda tired of my friend putting medown every time Ibringup something involving cars. Theyalways say "Insurance is gonna kill ya!" and the like.

 

So if yall don't mind helping out afellow GM-TC'er......

 

 

Please tell me:

 

-Who's your insurance Co.?

 

-How much are you paying?

 

-How often are you paying? (Monthly, Bi-Monthly,Yearly, etc.)

 

-How many Vehicles are in your policy.

 

-What kind of Vehicles are in your policy (Full-size truck,4x4 or 2wd)

We live in Harris County, Houston, Texas.  When we moved here our insurance went up on our truck about $20 per month.  Here is what we currently pay.

 

Married, I'm 26 and she 22.

 

Ins Co: State Farm - Full coverage, $500 collision deductible, $50 other than collision, Towing and Rental Coverage

# Vehicles: 2

Vehicles: 2000 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab Z71 ($540/6 mo)

  2001 Chevy Tahoe Z71 ($615/6 mo)

 

Home owner's policy: State Farm ($110K dwelling, $11K extension, $82K personal property, $300K liability) $1000/year

 

Before we added the Tahoe we were paying about $86 per month just for the Silverado.  Before we moved to Harris County we were paying about $67.

Approx $1,000 per year for my 03 Silverado. Suburb outside of Boston, Mass. Commerce insurance. More or less the same amount I was paying on my 00 Z28. Also more or less the same as my 98 DeVille.

Age, Marital Status and Type of coverage has a lot more to do with the price of your coverage than what you are insuring. Unless of course you are talking about something that is classified as High-performance.

Electric Insurance.  Full coverage on all w/$250 deductable.

2002 Honda Odessey EXL-RES

1998 Jayco 314 BHS ($22K policy)

Home-owners policy: $150K house/ $95K contents/ $15k garage

 

All policies come on one bill and I pay $125/month

 

My motorcylce is with Progressive insurance:

 

1993 Yamaha GTS1000 full coverage $500 deductable -- $250 anually

'94 Nissan SE-R

$140K House

$40K Garage

$1,000,000 Umbrella Policy

250/500 coverage on each vehicle

 

I'm 32 and unmarried and pay around $1,650 per year through State Farm.  I used to live in Long Island, NY and paid $2,200 for just the Nissan!

65 Impala SS only has liability on it.

 

Home owners is $1100 year

 

$150k replacement coverage on a house that was built in 1875 seperate 2 car garage covered at $20k

For full coverage on my '03 Silverado, $500 deductible, $384.60.  I also have a 87 Cutlass Ciera for $208 and an 87 Mustang for $248.  Each of these are every 6 months so about $1700/yr. I live on the island of Kauai, about 60,000 total population. Single 32 yrs. old.
