Antifreeze gurgling

I have a strange problem with my 02 gmc 6.0 2500 truck. I have had a strange antifreeze leak for a while and can't find where its coming from. I think it's now coming from the overflow. It only seems to burp out fluid after I stop and cut the truck off. Also I hear the antifreeze gurgling in the heater core. Any ideas? Please help!

More then likely a head gasket, there are special chemical kits that will detect combustion gasses in the coolant.

 

I'd suggest you go to a mechanic that has one and get it checked.

Have you done the flush and fills of the cooling system? Is the top hose the same temp as the bottom once warmed up? If you haven't done the recommended services to the cooling system could be a plugged radiator, stuck thermostat.

I would make darn sure before I started looking at head gaskets.
