Onstar Subscriptions - Second Question Added

Anyone have this app for another vehicle longer than 5yrs? What happens then? App just quit? Is there a way to "restore" it for another 5 yrs? Just curious as I may have my truck longer than 5 yrs.

I wrote a little while ago but I got an email saying OnStar trial will end soon. I had to go out tonight and used the Navy and for me it was spot on. Didn't send me all over gods green earth and got where I needed. I will once in a while use my phone app to lock or start the truck and always check my diagnostics ( oil %, tire pressure, ect ) on the app even though I can see that on my DIC. With the trial ending I can't spend $35 a month. What I'm looking to see from ppl that have let it lapse...will the app still let me lock and unlock and start the truck, will typing a destination for the Nav work as well as the Nav still work? I can use my phone and plug an aux cord to hear what to do but I like having the 8 inch display showing me where I am

The key fob options still work. The app will still send addresses to the in dash nav unit. Diagnostics and vehicle location will not work.

I assumed that I'd be able to get a month of service, then cancel. Or beg for another trial. Assuming 5yr is so in 20 years they don't HAVE to support this. Though I can live without diagnostics, as reported, too.
