HID issues

Installed HID's in my 2014 Silverado today. Start the truck and after the gauges zero out they then off. I've read other places about the auto on feature causing potential issues in older models. Anyone have any input on how to correct this so they'll work?

Did you try turning the light switch to the off position while in park?

 

I was driving one day and as night turned Im guessing the truck switched from DRL to Headlight and they switched off. Most of the time if you switch it to park and flick the headlight switch to the left it should work.

Yeah I tried switching it to "auto off" but that just turns all lights off. Not sure if the Sierra's switches are the same or not. In order to get to the what would be "manual on" for parking lights or all lights, you end up turning back on the "auto on". I've seen some mention of a possible relay needed to bypass the auto on feature so going to give that a try here later this week.
