I'm Extremly nervous

I left for lunch today and as I got to speed all I heard was clink clink clink er er er er er er er er er er er er squeek squeek squeek.  Etc.  It stops when I stop.  It starts when I move.  I pulled over and got under the truck. And hit my front drive shaft and it clinks a bit.  I know that the U-Joints are bad and need to be replaced.  I was getting a wagon wheel sound for the last 2 weeks.  I was planning on fixing them this or next weekend.  Also as you may have read the Front output shaft area on the Transfercase seal seems to be leaking.  I realy don't think it is the trandfer case.  But could all that noise and rumble in the floor be from the bad U-Joints.  I am really nervous and don't want to drive it any more.  I have an appointment to the dealer on Friday morning.  Please make me feel better.  I am really not liking this.  I wouldn't be upset if I were at home when it happened but I have to drive home, Tomorrow I have my Final for class that I can't miss, and still have 3 days left of work for the week.  With no other mode of transportation.  Anyway you probaly can see how upset I am.  I am mostly nervous at how much this will cost me.  I have to cut into the lift fund for this one.  Please shed some light on this.

U-Joints:  Cheap, and relatively easy to replace.

Concentrate on your finals the only bad thing about a ujoint going out completely is where it leaves you stranded.

You'll be okay.

Once you've changed one...you'll be an expert in it believe me!

So you are saying that it is only the U-Joints?  I am bringing it in to the dealer to do it because I also want to get the T-Case Gasket replaced while the drive shaft is off.  What do I have to lose other than a few bucks. I will have them look over the rest of the truck whil it is in there as well.

It sounds mostly like U-joints to me too...  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, and good luck on your finals!

U-Joints man don't fret.  Ain't nothing but a thing if your transfer case was messing up you would not only here it but feel it while driving. I don't me a little vibration like the u joints are giving you I mean like one of those Holly sh!t what the #### was that feeling.

Thanks BD.  I thought that was it.  I was thinking of doing it my self but since I need the t-case seal replaced.  I might as well have it all done by them that way I can't screw it up.  I will also have them look over the truck.  Since I never brought it to a dealer or mechanic since I bought it.  (Private sale.)  Well I thought I made out only spending a grand to fix it up.  Breaks, Total Truck Flid Flush and Change, etc.  Now I will probably meet my $1500 estimate.  Then 2000 when I get the new tires.  Still where I expected to be.  Glad to hear it is most likely no thang but a U-Joint Thang.  LOL  Thanks for putting my mind at ease.  I will let you know how it is when I get it back.
