You know the Chevy bowtie thats on the front grill part of the newer silverado's. How would i go about doing this and how do i get the bowtie off the front of the truck so it can be painted. Any helps would be great. Maybe a step by step detail on how to do it. I know alot of you guys have done it so i thought maybe i would give it a try. Is it a easy job im guessing it is cant be to hard. Thanks for the help guys.

BTW anybody remember me ya i know its been a while since i posted on here.

It's easy.  You just take off your bowtie and paint it.  For a  silverado you use a flathead screwdriver and remove the snaps holding down the plastic radiator shroud and reach behind the grille.  You should feel the tabs for the bowtie, just squeze and it will fall off, so make sure you have your other hand there to grab it.  From there I use some steel wool to rough it up, spay a few light coats of primer and smooth it with steel wool inbetween coats.  After that I do about 8 light coats of black paint (or whatever color you choose) and then a few coats of clear.  I've found that when using spray paint it is best to do a lot of light coats for a really nice finish and it seems to last a lot longer.  After that just let it cure for a few hours then stick it on.

You can see mine in my sig pic painted black.  For my silverado I had one that I painted red, still have it in my room as a matter of fact.
