I just placed an order for a product called Langka. It smooths out touch-up paint once it is applied so that the final result is a nearly imperceptible mark vice the chip or scratch. I read about it on a couple of detailing forums. I have a nice fat chip in my hood from a rock thrown by a semi. Been there quite a while. The chip was better than a blob of touch-up paint. I haven't used this stuff yet, but I have heard it's great. The only bad thing is when ppl that try to use it on older cars where the paint has faded. Doesn't give them the finish they were expecting, but that's obviously going to happen.

Well, I tried it on a chip on my hood (light pewter). It did not work very well. It seems that when you rub the product on the blob of metallic paint, it pulls the metallic flakes out and leaves a rough surface behind. It may work better on smooth paint.

I have used it before with pretty good results, for most chips and scratches I use a toothpick or match stick (cardboard) and cut the angle of the scratch or nick the same and then clean the area good with alcohol, then repair the scratch or nick with many very thin coats, it takes some time to do it this way but your results wiull be much better
