Cutting out problem

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, my truck is having an issue where it cuts out and power comes back. I just put in a new AC Delco fuel pump, and fuel filter. I switched the relays with one I know works, and the relay is only slightly warm after it has been running, not hot. I think it's a grounding issue. Do you guys have any suggestions? Where could I find the ground to the fuel pump relay?

It's a 2001 Silverado 2500hd with the gas 6.0. It has 109,000 miles. I did not check the pressure. I did put a new AC Delco fuel pump in and fuel filter. Didn't fix it. Also replaced the battery.

the '01 has a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. try pulling the vacuum line off it and see if any fuel comes out [if any does, replace it]. but I would also check the fuel pressure to make sure it's working properly.
