Hot Engine no crank no start

I have a 2008 GMC 1500 that will not start when the engine is hot, no issue with cold starts. After driving truck for 20 minutes on highway in warm weather and I shut off engine it will not restart. When I turn the key to start the engine light comes on but the starter does not seem to have power. After letting the truck cool down for 15 minutes it will then re-start with no issues. The repair shop pulled the codes and changed the evap vent solenoid but this has not resolved the issue. Should I change the starter/solenoid? Battery is in good condition and connections seem good. Suggestions on what I should look into?

This sure has all the classic signs of a starter/solenoid. I haven't heard of a lot of those going bad on these trucks, but these are parts made by people...none are perfect. Could always try the "hit the solenoid with a hammer" treatment while somebody is holding the key in start position.
