Question about intakes

Hey guys,

I'm lookin to get my intake soon and I was wondering what you guys would recommend for the most hp/torque gains. My buddy just got a K&N FIPK for his Tundra, and off the line I can really feel an increase in power and acceleration, so I figured can't go wrong with K&N and am thinking about getting that one. Any second opinions?

I have only used the K&N FIPK. I am happy with its performance. I can't imagine a night/day difference between brands though as long as you have the full system.

FWIW, Truckin' magazine has an article in this month's issue where they put an intake on a 5.3L Silverado and the before/after dyno results show an improvement of 13 HP and 7 lbs torque.

 

It's called Brute Force and I think it's made by AES (or something like that).
