Factory stereo settings?

I have a 03 z71 silverado with a factory cd stereo.

I want to know how to keep the settings changed after I change them. I get in the truck and change the bass,mid and tremble, when I shut the truck off it goes back to the other settings. Is there a way for me to store these settings?

Is your truck an SLT with the memory seats? You need to set the settings where you want them - then press and hold the memory button on the door to save them. The memory settings control the mirrors, seats and radio presets. This set up is for two drivers - button 1 and 2 - and the remotes are numbered as well. Use the remote to unlock the doors and all of that drivers settings are recalled. You probably know most of this - but it also controls the stereo settings.

Takes a little getting used to in the beginning - if you change a preset on the radio - you have to remember to save the memory settings next time you put the truck in park. Otherwise on the next unlock/recall it gets wiped out.
