Duramax Oil Pressure

I've noticed the oil pressure on my Duramax will run at 60 PSI while running down the road, but when I stop at A traffic light and idle in gear and engine is warmed up it'll run at 30 PSI. Is this about normal?

I don't know about the Dmax, but those numbers are close to what my 6.0L runs so I would say it is normal.

Mine runs right around 50-60 psi or so at operating temp down the highway depending on speed, and just under 30 psi at idle.

Yep, those numbers sound reasonable and comparable to mine as well.

Thats good my moms new truck did the same thing and i thought it might have been something with the oil pressure sending unit or sumthing. Its good to have ppl like u guys to help.
